Reus is located on the east coast of Spain, about 110km from Barcelona. It has its own small airport which Ryanair uses so budget flights are available from most of the UK and Ireland to Reus. Alternatively, Barcelona airport is only an hour and 20 minutes away by car. Reus has outstanding architecture and is the birthplace of Gaudi. It is a very pleasant place to stroll around and offers a great deal for those interested in culture and shopping.
Shopping and Culture
There are many festivals and live music events in the summer. The city itself is stunning with beautiful squares and boutique shops and cafes. There is a Gaudi Centre for people to find out more about this great Spanish architect.
Reus is famous for its vermouth – fast becoming one of Spain’s popular drinks. There’s a vermouth museum in Reus for those interested to find out more… if drinking a little is not enough.
Reus Weather
Reus has a very pleasant climate all year round. During the summer months it is very sunny and hot with temperatures in the 30’s. During the winter the temperature is colder but still usually above freezing.
